John Colletta will be featured speaker, presenting four talks throughout the day.

Fifth Annual Free Family History Festival—All day genealogy seminar with multiple speakers. DSGR and Detroit Public Library’s Friends group are co-sponsoring John Colletta, noted genealogist and writer, who will present four programs: “Breaking Through Brick Walls: Use Your Head”, “Naturalization Records- 1790-1920”, “Erie Canal Genealogy: The Peopling of Upstate New York and the Midwest” and “Turning Bibliographical Facts into Life Events: How to Build Historical Context”. This year the Burton Historical Collection will be open for research from 2-6 p.m.
